Kingpins Win, Penley 3-4
|
Dylan Penley added some punch to the Chicago offense, helping them outmuscle the Louisville Lemurs, 11-9. In the game, Penley, who is tied for 4th in the MiLPBE in home runs with 19, was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Chicago reliever Leeroy Jenkins picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Snor Summers was saddled with the loss. The triumph makes Chicago 24-52.
Penley had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 circle change from Snor Summers, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Kingpins a 9-7 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Penley.
"Enjoyed this one," Penley told the Chicago News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
