Hepcats Trip Wheelers, 8-1
|
Kansas City used a superb performance from starting pitcher Biggus Tittious Smittious to down the Anchorage Wheelers, 8-1. Smittious, now 8-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The Hepcats have an impressive 52-25 record.
Kansas City relied on the hitting of Cason Warwick to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Hepcats on top, 6-0. For the game, Warwick had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Smittious said after the game.
