Kansas City Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Castillon
|
The Anchorage Wheelers weathered a fine game by Kansas City designated hitter Dominique Castillon to upend the Hepcats, 9-6, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Castillon belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Teddy Mantle picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-4. He struck out 4 in 5 innings. Anchorage now sits at 32-45, while Kansas City falls to 31-46.
Bo Killgore provided a timely hit. The Anchorage third baseman delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wheelers on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Anchorage manager .
