The Amarillo Armadillos topped the State College Swift Steeds , 15-4, with youngster Jennifer Park playing a key role. Park went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Armadillos in the win. VJ Edgecombe, the winner, is now 9-6. He struck out 4 and walked 2 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. The 4th-place Armadillos sport a record of 34-44.
Had Park not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Park hit a 2-run single. The Armadillos never looked back after taking the 6-4 lead.
