Bears Handle California, Snag 4-1 Win
|
The Brew City Bears converted a terrific effort from starter Onni Eskola into a win over the California Firehawks at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. The Bears won the game by a final score of 4-1. Sloane Sinclair closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. The first-place Bears have won 4 in a row.
Career Minor Leaguer, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in triples with 2, took California hurler Wah Wong deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Bears on top, 3-1. In all, Minor Leaguer had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Minor Leaguer said after the game.
