Bears Topple Armadillos, 12-6, as Kennedy Shines
The home crowd had a good time watching the Amarillo Armadillos and Brew City Bears get after it.

Bears second baseman John Left Kennedy left his imprint on his team's 12-6 win over the Amarillo Armadillos. Kennedy went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Brew City in the contest. The winning pitcher was Onni Eskola. His record now stands at 4-2. The left-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits for the Bears.

Swiffer Sweeper had a big 2-run double for the Bears in the bottom of the first inning. With Brew City leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from VJ Edgecombe, who is tied for 3rd in the MiLPBE in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bears ahead, 3-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Kennedy told the Brew City Gazette.

The win lifted the Brew City record to 44-42.
