Hepcats Slap 6-4 Loss on Chicago
|
The Kansas City Hepcats cut down the Chicago Kingpins by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Dominique Castillon. Castillon was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hepcats. Matthew Murdock came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Poe Poe recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 12 for 18.
Castillon had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 slider from Vin Vonvanovitch, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Hepcats a 5-4 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Castillon.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Castillon.
Kansas City has a record of 45-41, placing them third in the West Division.
