Kansas City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Kansas City Hepcats downed the Puerto Rico Ranas, 5-3, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Niklavs Stavinskis led the way, going 5-for-7 for Kansas City. Kansas City reliever Juan Legacypoint [BOT] got the win, raising his record to 3-3. Kerr Mitt [BOT] was tagged with the loss. The Ranas, now 22-66, have lost 6 straight.
The decisive blow was delivered by Gibson Doubleneck in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a 2-run home run off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Kerry Berry [BOT] to win the game for Kansas City. The home crowd went nuts.
In postgame comments, Doubleneck said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
