Though he had a terrific game, Swiffer Sweeper could not prevent his team, the Brew City Bears, from absorbing a loss. State College won the game, 7-6. Sweeper was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Cass Silskrumblin in relief, making him now 7-5. Freddy Fordham [BOT] took the loss for Brew City. State College is second in the East Division with a record of 48-41.

State College used the timely hitting of Dalton Rose to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Rose told a State College Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
