Dominant Performance by King in Louisville Win
|
The Louisville Lemurs picked up a win at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle, taking down the Kansas City Hepcats, 5-2. Starting pitcher Golden King was a big reason why. Louisville is now 52-38, Kansas City 40-50.
King threw well for Louisville, thwarting the Kansas City offense. The left-hander tossed 102 pitches over 8.1 innings. He allowed just 2 runs on 4 hits.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Louisville skipper .
