Kingpins Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The Chicago Kingpins, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium.
The Chicago Kingpins picked up a win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, knocking off the Amarillo Armadillos, 3-2. Starting pitcher XJ MacCannon was a big reason why. Chicago reliever Darius Appleton was the winner. His record is now 6-4. Brett Dusinberre took the loss.
Toby Rodrigo was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kingpins left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Amarillo manager .
Chicago has won 3 straight, while Amarillo has lost 3 in a row.
