Behind an impressive start by Archie Richards, State College beat Amarillo, 7-2. The win lifted the State College record to 51-42.
Diego Ramieriez, the State College shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 2-1, Swift Steeds . For the game, Ramieriez went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk.
Richards told a State College Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
