The Brew City Bears rode a solid performance from 21-year-old starting pitcher Shota Takahashi to a win, beating the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-2, at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. Daniel Martin earned his 6th save, after closing out the game. The last-place Armadillos have dropped 4 straight games.

Brew City took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Jared Keeso hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Bears in front, 2-1.

"Shota -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Bears manager . "He was the key to us winning."
