Losing Streak Continues for Ranas with 8-2 Loss to Flamingos
|
The Florida Flamingos picked up a win at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Puerto Rico Ranas, 8-2. On the mound for Florida was right-hander Skyler Stevens. He played a key role in the triumph. The win gives Florida a season record of 52-48.
Florida used the hitting of Paulie Wag to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Flamingos on top, 6-0. For the game, Wag had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I'm happy we won," said Stevens. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
