|
The umbrellas came out during the Kansas City-Anchorage contest at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good.
The Kansas City Hepcats converted a terrific effort from starter Elijah Miller into a win over the Anchorage Wheelers at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. The Hepcats won the game by a final score of 5-1. The winner was Miller. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mac N Cheese. Picking up his 8th save was 21-year old left-handed pitcher William Nilliam.
Niklavs Stavinskis, who is tied for 8th in the MiLPBE in triples with 2, took Anchorage hurler Mac N Cheese deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Hepcats on top, 2-0. In all, Stavinskis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Stavinskis.
