Swift Steeds Tack 8-3 Loss on Flamingos
|
The State College Swift Steeds topped the Florida Flamingos, 8-3, with second baseman Aiala Pavo playing a big role. Pavo was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Swift Steeds in the win. After today's action, State College sits at 46-62, while Florida falls to 60-48.
State College used a big swing from Bazooka Slow to get the win. The left fielder walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Swift Steeds up, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Pavo told a State College Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
