State College Breaks Through for First Win in First Round; Now Trails 2-1
The State College Swift Steeds have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Amarillo Armadillos, winning, 3-2, at Taylor Swift is Hard Mid Eras Tour 2.0. Swift Steeds right-hander Kelly Brandt threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Swift Steeds to 2-1 in the best-of-5 First Round.

Third Baseman Higashi Shizuka made an impact for State College, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Snack Reacher in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Shizuka went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said State College manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Taylor Swift is Hard Mid Eras Tour 2.0 in Providence.
