Riding the 4-hit performance of left fielder Kanutake MeHire, the New York Voyagers got a road win against the Providence Crabs, 13-2, in Game 3 of the Conference Finals. MeHire went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 3 for the Voyagers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

MeHire got the Voyagers off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.
