Nickalus Helps California Take Semi-FInals Game 1
The California Firehawks started the Semi-FInals in dominant fashion, blowing out the visiting Louisville Lemurs at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons by a score of 11-4 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Firehawks first baseman Roman Nickalus had a standout performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

In the bottom of the 6th, shortstop Goro Majima gave California the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Firehawks had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Louisville pitcher Pim Pimling changed that -- and California went on to win.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Louisville manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons in Providence.
