Raucous Florida Man Park Crowd Propels Flamingos to 5-0 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Justin Izzo, the Florida Flamingos topped the California Firehawks by the score of 5-0 and got their first win in the 2076 World Series. Izzo threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball for the Flamingos. The win moves Florida into a 1-1 tie with California.
Tung Tung Tung Sahur took California hurler Ima DudeMan deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Flamingos on top, 2-0. In all, Sahur had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Justin -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Flamingos manager . "He was the key to us winning."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 10th , 2076 at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons in Providence.
