The Cancun Toros and the Death Valley Scorpions will take the Conference Finals to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Toros beat the Scorpions, 2-1, at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cancun right-hander John Cowgill had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball.
Cowgill delivered a quality start for Cancun. The 6-foot-4 right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 6.1 innings of work.
"Felt great, felt really good," said Cowgill.
