Sky Blasts Lemurs, Bears Take Game 3, 5-3
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Seiun Sky, the Brew City Bears got a road win against the Louisville Lemurs, 5-3, in Game 3 of the Semi-FInals. Sky went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times for the Bears, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Yes No came through with a big-time hit for Brew City. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Sky, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle in Providence.
