Almost There: Brew City On Cusp of SF Triumph After 4-3 Win
|
With third baseman Yoshinori Akiyama leading the charge, the Brew City Bears got past the Kansas City Hepcats, 4-3, in extra innings in Game 4 of the Semi-FInals. Akiyama went 5 for 5 with 5 singles at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good as Brew City managed to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Vumion Stitcherson had a direct impact on the outcome. Stitcherson contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the 11th inning to put Brew City up, 4-3.
"We found a way to get it done," Stitcherson said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good in Providence.
