Almost There: Florida On Cusp of SF Triumph After 6-4 Win
The Florida Flamingos moved to within one game of the World Series, downing the visiting Brew City Bears at Florida Man Park by a score of 6-4. Flamingos third baseman Bobby Briggs did some major damage. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win gives the Flamingos a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Semi-FInals.

Homer Simpson took Brew City hurler Jack Dupp deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Flamingos on top, 2-0. In all, Simpson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Briggs said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Florida Man Park in Providence.
