Louisville Sent Home with 2-0 Loss
|
The Anchorage Wheelers satisfied the home crowd at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo, treating them to a season-opening win, 2-0, over the Louisville Lemurs. Starting Pitcher Teddy Mantle was the standout performer for Anchorage.
Anchorage took a 2-0 lead on Chunaid Khan's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Khan hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Louisville pitcher Adeline King visibly frustrated.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Louisville skipper , "and it cost us."
