The California Firehawks knocked off the Chicago Kingpins, 6-4, in Minor League PBE action at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. California pitcher and The United States, native Massive Unit had an outstanding performance. Unit picked up the win for California, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The Firehawks, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.

California left fielder Jon Benis contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Firehawks ahead, 2-0.
