Wheelers Get One-Run Win at Chicago
|
Despite a fine performance by right fielder Arthur Dent, the Chicago Kingpins lost to the Anchorage Wheelers, 5-4. Dent was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Highdrah Coneis in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ouro Kronii took the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Wheelers have raced to a strong start this season.
Anchorage used the timely hitting of Ángel de la Fuerte to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wheelers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Anchorage manager .
