Chicago pitcher Aventurine had a large part in his team beating the Kansas City Hepcats, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The loss drops the Hepcats to 2-5.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sweet Sweet Ganjasmoke in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a 2-run home run off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Rohn Jocker to win the game for Chicago. The home crowd went nuts.

Ganjasmoke called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
