Firehawks Take Nail-Biter Over Ranas
|
The umbrellas came out during the California-Puerto Rico contest at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons.
California rode a decent outing from starter Keith Hamilton to victory over the Puerto Rico Ranas. The final score was 4-2. California reliever Jackson Kidd was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Harry Berry took the loss for Puerto Rico.
California won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Harry Berry on the mound for Puerto Rico, designated hitter Stelle hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Firehawks fans to their feet.
"Exhilarating win," said Stelle.
Puerto Rico drops to 1-9.
