Hepcats Win 10-8 Nail-Biter Versus Wheelers
|
The Kansas City Hepcats beat the Anchorage Wheelers by a score of 10-8. Kansas City second baseman Theodor Geisel deserved the lion's share of the credit. Geisel was 3-7 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Hepcats. Kansas City, with the win, is 8-3.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, Geisel hit a slider from George Fantobens for a 2-run home run. The Hepcats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We took home the win," said Geisel. "What's not to like?"
