The Chicago Kingpins topped the Anchorage Wheelers, 5-3, in Minor League PBE action at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The standout performance belonged to Chicago pitcher and Boise, Idaho, native Avery Time. Chicago reliever Aventurine picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Andre Pope was tagged with the loss. The Wheelers drop to 5-9.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Sparky Dee? The 21-year old designated hitter Dee stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Chicago up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
