Plainview Swats 2 Homers, Wheelers Top Hepcats, 5-2

The exploits of catcher Daniel Plainview, who is tied for 7th in the MiLPBE in RBI with 11, helped the Anchorage Wheelers defeat the Kansas City Hepcats, 5-2. Plainview went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Highdrah Coneis. His record is now 2-2. The right-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Wheelers. Fezzik Roussimoff sewed up the save, his 3rd.
Plainview had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch circle change from Doc Halladay, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Wheelers a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Plainview.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Plainview told the Anchorage News.
Kansas City falls to 10-5.
