The Amarillo Armadillos downed the California Firehawks, 5-4. The hitting star was designated hitter Jennifer Park. Park hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Armadillos. The win went to Garlic Bread [BOT] in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Joe Callaway took the loss. Curve Beckham [BOT] closed the door for Amarillo, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Kevin McMan to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Armadillos on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We took home the win," said Park. "What's not to like?"

With the loss, California sinks to 9-6.
