California Wins, 11-5, Behind 2 Carver Home Runs
|
A 7-RBI performance from Coleman Carver helped the California Firehawks beat the Florida Flamingos, 11-5. California reliever Cheii Armbanduhr snagged the win, upping his record to 4-0. Lilyin Blue shouldered the loss. California, now 12-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Devante Moore came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Florida pitcher Lilyin Blue, he hit a 1-2 sinker for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting California on top, 7-5.
"This was one of those games you love to be a part of," said Carver.
