Wheelers Best Ranas in Pitching Duel

Anchorage Wheelers starter Dee Fernandez Jr. turned in a top-notch performance against the Puerto Rico Ranas at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The result was a win for the Wheelers, 2-1. Picking up the save was Kip Treadwell, his 1st. The loss makes the Ranas 5-11.
Rachel Morimura, the Anchorage designated hitter, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-0, Wheelers. For the game, Morimura went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Puerto Rico skipper , "and it cost us."
