Louisville Beats Kansas City, 7-5
|
The Kansas City Hepcats and Louisville Lemurs were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Ford Lincoln-Mercury had a good game, but he could not keep the Kansas City Hepcats from falling, 7-5, to the Louisville Lemurs at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark. The Kansas City left fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Nina Alexejeva closed it out for his 1st save.
It could have been a different outcome for Louisville, had it not been for Jennie B. Pink, the 23-year old catcher . Pink contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Louisville up, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pink said after the game.
Early on, the Lemurs, at 12-4, have played an impressive brand of baseball.
