Animal Kingdom, who leads the MiLPBE in quality starts with 3, had a strong outing for the Florida Flamingos against the Anchorage Wheelers at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Kingdom yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-1. The Flamingos, now 12-5, have been sizzling early on.
Florida used a clutch at-bat from Atlas Sluggs to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Anchorage manager . "It's just not paying off."
