Firehawks Get Clutch Win Versus Kansas City
|
The California Firehawks picked up a win at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, knocking off the Kansas City Hepcats, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ima DudeMan was a big reason why. Cheii Armbanduhr picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Poe Poe was tagged with the loss. The Firehawks, now 12-6, have been red hot.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when California second baseman Mat Gamel, facing Poe Poe, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Firehawks the 4-3 win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," DudeMan said.
