Florida Flamingos starter Knuckle Puck hurled his team past the California Firehawks, 4-1. Puck yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 8. His record improves to 1-4. The Flamingos, with just their 5th win so far in 2078, have yet to catch fire.

Darius Maxwell had a big 2-run double for the Flamingos in the bottom of the third inning. With Florida leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from fireballing 6' 8" left-hander Massive Unit and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flamingos ahead, 3-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Maxwell told the Florida Bulletin.
