A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Kansas City Hepcats and Amarillo Armadillos.

The 5-2 Kansas City win over Amarillo was due in large part to A.J. Justice. The Hepcats first baseman went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. The win was credited to Juan Legacypoint [BOT] in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tom E. Jahns took the loss.

Kansas City used the hitting of Gibson Doubleneck to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hepcats on top, 4-2. For the game, Doubleneck had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
