Swift Steeds Fall to .500 After 7-4 Loss to Kingpins
|
Chicago took on State College in front of a lively crowd.
The Chicago Kingpins defeated the State College Swift Steeds , 7-4, at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. Chicago third baseman Notworth Afirst had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs. The Swift Steeds drop to 10-10 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2072 season.
With Chicago leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Afirst hit a fastball from Antonio Abner for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Kingpins ahead, 5-2.
Afirst told a Chicago Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
