Amarillo Sends Kansas City Packing with 7-3 Loss
|
The first-place Amarillo Armadillos took on the Kansas City Hepcats in front of a spirited crowd.
Barto O'Colon, who is tied for 3rd in the MiLPBE in wins with 3, had a strong outing for the Amarillo Armadillos against the Kansas City Hepcats at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. In 8.1 innings, O'Colon surrendered 11 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs.
Lestat de Lioncourt hit a 2-run triple off Elijah Miller in the bottom of the first, which put the Armadillos in front, 2-0. de Lioncourt had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"It's a mindset," said O'Colon. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The Hepcats drop to 10-11 and continue their mediocre start to the 2073 season.
