Big Day for Mellow as Bears Down Armadillos, 5-2
The Brew City Bears dealt the Amarillo Armadillos a 5-2 loss at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Marsh Mellow, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in total bases with 48, was the star on offense. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Pizzanator III was the winner. He's now 3-3. The loser was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Leo Gonzalez. Brew City is now 14-9. Amarillo is 16-7.

Julio Ruiz Jr. had a big 2-run home run for the Bears in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Brew City leading 2-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a cutter from Leo Gonzalez, who is tied for 8th in the MiLPBE in innings pitched with 40.1, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Bears on top, 4-0.
