Buckshank drives in 3 runs to Power Armadillos Offense
|
The Amarillo Armadillos grabbed a win, 7-1, over the State College Swift Steeds at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. Amarillo shortstop Razmataz Buckshank was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Roquefort Cotswald, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held the Swift Steeds to 1 run on 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. With the victory, the Armadillos upped their record to 13-10.
With Amarillo leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Buckshank hit a changeup from Always A. Bummus for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Armadillos ahead, 5-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Amarillo manager .
