Florida Nets 4-3 Win Versus Lemurs
|
The Florida Flamingos had to overcome a fine effort from Louisville pitcher Shohei Onetani to win, 4-3, in 10 innings at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. Onetani went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Earning his 3rd save for Florida was Reid Johnson. Florida is now 16-10, 2 games up in the East Division.
Florida used a timely hit from Dan Thunder to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Both teams played hard," said Florida manager .
