Wheelers Trip Kingpins, 6-5, in Extra Innings
The Anchorage Wheelers beat the Chicago Kingpins, 6-5, in 10 innings at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. Robin Banks, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Daniel Armstrong in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Checo Perez [BOT] took the loss. The third-place Kingpins now sit at 13-14.

Had Banks not come through in the top of the tenth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Banks hit a run-scoring double. The Wheelers took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

"We ground out the win," said Banks. "That's all that matters."
