The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Anchorage Wheelers, 7-4. Center Fielder Joe Anderson deserved a large share of the credit. Anderson went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Armadillos. Amarillo has an impressive 18-9 record.

With Amarillo leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Anderson hit a 2-run single off Anchorage hurler Mac N Cheese. It was the 33rd hit of the season for Anderson and put his team ahead, 3-0.
