State College took on Anchorage in front of a lively crowd.

The State College Swift Steeds beat the Anchorage Wheelers, 6-2. State College pitcher and Canada, native Kris Rice led the way. State College pitcher Cass Silskrumblin got the win. He's now 1-2. Cassie Macallen was tagged with the loss.

State College used the timely hitting of Willy Whacker to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Whacker called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

By defeating Anchorage, the second-place Swift Steeds improved to 15-13.
