Babipperson Slugs Kingpins to 7-5 Win
|
The Chicago Kingpins defeated the Louisville Lemurs, 7-5. Doing his part was shortstop Dave Babipperson, who was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Oskar Von Kautz. He tossed 67 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Picking up his 8th save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bodhi Grizz.
Sparky Dee aided the Chicago cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2.
"It was a solid team effort," said Dee after the game.
The win elevated the Kingpins to 22-8.
