The State College Swift Steeds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Scott Justice, who muffled the Florida offense en route to a tight 2-1 Swift Steeds win at Florida Man Park. Billy Jones recorded the save for State College, his 3rd of the season. State College, at 17-14, occupies second place in the East Division.
State College used the timely hitting of D.W. Dogmaple to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Swift Steeds ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Dogmaple told the State College Citizen.
