A 4-RBI performance from the 20-year old designated hitter Nathan Abel helped the Kansas City Hepcats beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-4. Jose Jakob Jingleheimer Schmidt [BOT], 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. Picking up his 7th save was fireballing 6' 7" left-hander Poe Poe.

Early in the game, Abel had a 3-run home run for Kansas City. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Hepcats on top, 4-1.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Abel.

The Hepcats move to 17-16 with the win, while the Armadillos drop to 12-21.
