6-3 Loss Extends Puerto Rico Losing Streak
|
The Florida Flamingos knocked off the Puerto Rico Ranas, 6-3, in Minor League PBE action at Florida Man Park. Florida pitcher and Nome, Alaska, native Moe Mentum had an outstanding performance. Mentum picked up the win for Florida, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Puerto Rico is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 12 games.
Wowbert Belle took Puerto Rico hurler Ottov Yeoj [BOT] deep in the bottom of the second. His 3-run home run put the Flamingos on top, 3-1. In all, Belle had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
