The State College Swift Steeds beat the Brew City Bears, 8-5, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. State College third baseman Willy Whacker had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. State College raised its record to 22-14 with the win.

State College used a clutch at-bat from Dusty Backstop to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Swift Steeds ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Whacker.
